How to become better at taekwondo?

poomsae isnt very difficult. instead of doing the whole pattern at a go, try breaking it up into parts and improve those parts one at a time. carefully pay attention to your posture and foot position. posture is very important in poomsae, so always keep your back straight and feet properly positioned so that every stance is properly distinguished. make sure the punches are aimed at the solar plexus or the point between the nose and the upper lip according to the poomsae. make sure that the first two knuckles are properly aimed at the exact spot and not with the fist facing upwards, i.e. your arm and fist should be in a straight line. if you keep all these in mind, you should be doing your patterns just fine and would probably get an A grade in your belt test in patterns. but dont forget to train in other things that would be needed for the test :D

all the best! :D

Train. Practice. Listen to what your instructor tells you. Practice at home, not just in class. Take on more classes per week.

It's a skill, just like any other - if you want to make it better, you keep working at it.

Continue to practice and learning to practice better will help you improve. You are just beginning. It can take time.
