This advice is for competition only. For self-defense, you need to learn the meanings of the movements, find your own applications of the movements, and use visualization.

For sharper forms in competition:

1) Practice.

2) Figure out the rhythms of the poomsae. Make the fast moves faster, the slow moves slower, the tension moves tenser.

3) Figure out which moves need to be exaggerated for effect. Hold a kick out longer if that will show control.

4) Pester your teachers for their advice.

5) Work on your flexibility.

6) Study video of champions doing the form you want to use and see if you can learn from their performances.

7) Practice some more.

Practice and listen to your instructor

Focus on one technique a week then move in to the next one the follow

I usually focus on one a month. But most of you kids are to inpatient to do this.

I don't do TKD but one word

Practice

That is like something black belts should teach only black belts should teach martial arts.
