How not to be afraid of sparring?

I can understand your problem. I know a person with similar problem. You can solve this problem effectively by performing punching bag drills. I suggest you to get a big puching bag. Hang it and start hitting it. Hit it as if you are sparring with a partner. Here the punching bag will not hit you back, but that does not mean you will not get into safe distance after hitting it. Make sure you do the drill as if you are doing it with a real partner. Practice this way and you will surely see the difference. All the best.

Try to work on side stepping into a 45 degree angle, via methodologies like the True Boxer's stance.

You should also stand in front of each other and just keep hitting each other, to get used to taking hits. That way you aren't afraid of the unknown any more, but might get afraid of being hit if you can't deflect or trap hits well yet.

are you gay by any chance?

whats the matter with you. just make a fist and whack them one.

don't just take what they are saying silently, your instructor cannot read your mind (s)he needs you to tell them what you can and can't do. If they are a "good" instructor then (s)he will listen to you.

Self confidence

If you understand.

I'm OK with weaker people, because I've been sparring for a few grades.

My instructor says to hit my opponent and jump out of reaching distance before they can hit back. I'm not fit enough to constantly do that for a whole sparring round, though, so I get afraid to attack.

Any tips? Thanks.
