I wear long compressions skins top and short compression skins pants under mine i wear the short pants underneath so that i can wear knee guard on my knees. Im not sure what the skins are called in other countries. Also wear underwear under the skins. that is all i wear.
you dont have to wear anything other than underwear under there if you do not want too. Its basically just about what you want to wear that makes you feel comfortable.
Men also tend to wear cups and stuff to protect their giggleberries
Women wear a white t-shirt and or a sports bra underneath their uniform. When I began men were not allowed to wear any shirts under the uniform. Today I see more males wearing things under their uniform. But this would depend on the school. Some schools will allow it and others do not. Guy also should wear a protective cup to protect the family jewels.

Each instructor has different rules, so, the instructor is the person you need to ask.

Japanese styles call their suits "gi" (pronounced "ghee"), and Korean styles call them "dobok" (pronounced doh-bohk). The Chinese and other cultures have other words. In these cases, it is very unwise to wear anything else with them, since you want as much movement as possible, which is why they are usually worn very loosely. Wearing anything underneath your dobok/gi will restrict your movement.
