Practice the muscles in your legs via stretching and holding the leg at the right level, while balancing against a hand held support. Complete the entire movement in slow motion, in order to stretch and increase the strength of the muscles involved in the movement.

Hey, this kick is more tricky and takes more time to be good in it. Practice more is the key. Have someone hold a target for you and each day you kick harder. General stretches are good, stretches focusing on your hamstring helps. Be patient, it takes time to be able to hit head level. Improve your flexibility.

Generally having your body to down allows you to kick higher. You should resemble a T with your body. Standing on one leg and your body tilted down.

Hey every one Im a brown belt in Taekwondo and we were practicing our one-step sparring yesterday in class and mine is number 13 and 14 for taegeuk yuk jang. Number 13 is a spinning hook kick and I cant get it over my own head. Everyone else can and my coach told me that I cant get my red belt unless I can kick over my head with the spinning hook kick.

I can kick over my head with all kicks except for that one.

Any tips since they wont help me and stretches please
