How could I learn Leopard Style Kung Fu?

What's keeping you from finding a teacher and learning it right? I think this would make the most sense rather than trying to teach yourself something you know nothing about. You wouldn't teach someone else Leopard Kung Fu nor would you hire someone to teach you who has watched a few tapes. Why do it to yourself? Never settle for inferior if you want to learn self defense and plan on depending on your knowledge some day.

You CANNOT learn kung fu without a qualified instructor...it's that simple. You will have to find a teacher who is qualified in leopard style kung fu, which I think is pretty rare. It would probably be a little easier to find someone who teaches a style of kung fu that has a 5 animal form within the style (Shaolin, Choy Li Fut and Hung gar for instance).

You MUST find a sifu to teach you, it is the only way. there is way too much involved, and too many bad habits to learn. You have to have a teacher period.

And you should read this:

Self teaching has never ever worked for anything, never mind something as exacting and precise as a martial art. I do shotokan, and have for many years, so tell me please what do you teach yourself first to learn shotokan? Which kata do you do, and what do those movements mean anyway? You are lost before you begin. Learning to make a fist and hit at somebody is NOT martial art. You can watch videos a lot, and become very good at watching videos, but you can't learn anything even resembling martial art. I have trained several of these 'video warriors' and self made wonders, and they come with so many serious bad habits, stubbornly resisting change because they have trained this mistake repeatedly. From my observation, if you self-train one year, it will take you one year longer to get your first BB. Inversely proportional, train yourself for 3 years, and you need 3 extra years to shodan. Self train over 3 years, and you become nearly hopeless, hire a bodyguard.

Considering that many forms of animal kung fu are disappearing in the Western world, you are alright studying leopard kung fu (Bao Xing). I recommend you study on youtube and buy leopard kung fu dvds like this one:

There are Leopard Forms on Youtube.

I would like to learn in my own home and I have alot of free time. I've searched for sites that teach at least the basics but found nothing. I'm not doing this as some childish impulse I'm genuinely interested in learning the style. In my sparring with my brother I've found Leopard Kung Fu is closest to how I naturally fight. And no I'm not doing this to beat him up. Self defense is a big part
