How can I start training jiu jitsu with a friend?

There is no gym around near us and I want to learn. What exercises/drills can we do

Sure get videos get books and workout with your friend. But be sure to come back in 6 months, or even 3 or 1 for that matter and let us know how it goes.

In other words not only is what Liondancer said true but the chances of you actually training for any real length of time is so minimal it's beyond comprehension.

If you haven't done so, check out rec centers, and see if anyone is teaching out of their home. If not, look around and see if anyone is teaching a real art and start there. It may not be what you want but if you really want to learn you may be surprised at what you find.

By going to a jiujutsu gym, if there are none close, you have 2 choices:

1) Move where there is one nearby.

2) Travel to one.

If these are not possibilities, you are out of luck.

Unfortunately life is such that even if you want it it is not always granted. We always expect that we should have everything just because we want it.

You can not teach yourself something you don't know. At this point I would just train fitness. Running, some weights and flexibility.

You are only as good a your instructor since you don't have instructor you won't be any good.

You can't learn martial arts without an instructor. You will only be fooling yourself.

There is not one person who was self taught that was worth anything

just grab a4 mats 4*8 and put them in your basement

make sure your partner is serious about training

and u can attack each other with good videos from youtube

1 to 2 hour sesssion i think is more than adequate

by take decession
