No, that is not a push hands technique. Push hand redirects a motion and most of all there is no grabbing in push hands. It simply redirects. There is also no impact in push hands. Now had you intercepted her punch before she hit your arm and redirected her motion upwards you would be closer to a push hands technique but still there should have been no grab.

So this was when I was a high school senior. I was in my DEAR class and my friend named Diksha read my reading journal and she found out that I wanted to have a career in law enforcement. So she wanted to test out my "fighting" skills. She punched me on my arm and then I grabbed hold of her arm with one hand and pushed it upward.

So does this count as me using a pushing hands technique??
