the fight scenes with him showed a mix of sambo, bjj and judo and mma striking. It looked really good!
We call it Movie Fu
Movies, TV shows, etc are interested in making the fight scenes look cool. They may pull techniques from real martial arts but they don't worry if they'll really work or not. The priority is for things to look "good enough" and make people go WOW.
It's a choreography, not a fighting style.
Hollywood simply wants to make their fight scenes look flashy, they don't tend to use any real moves, and in turn the flashy moves they use wouldn't really work in real life.
I can not believe that people are this stupid. It's a damn MOVIE! It's choreography.
Probably some kind of karate.
