Both these systems have different fight philosophy. Shito-ryu is considered short-range while Choy Li Fut is long range in the Southern Shaolin stream. You can train in two or more martial arts systems if you know and understand each system's emphasis and use them according to circumstances. It is just like training in Taijichuan, and Hakka Chu-Jia, the former soft and supple, and the latter, extreme hard style.

not a good idea to mix styles. it hinders correct form. once you have mastered one style (black belt), then you might consider another style.
