Boxing or Kyokushin for real life Situations?

It highly depends on the individual, what is for him, the school and the instructor. Is difficult to tell from here what is going on, just by the names of the two (Boxing-Kyokushin).

Boxing is a combat sport, however what they are doing and training, are some of the most core skills for self-defense. It is highly tested for thousands and thousands of years, and there are and were so many professionals of high skills, both ring wise and self-defense wise, so the amount of good additional information that you can get on it, is unique. The issue is that it can be quite dangerous for the health.

Kyokushin has a good reputation for keeping the standards high, among its schools, is the Karate style of the famous Mass Oyama and it has being tested a lot, both in self-defense and in several types of sports competitions. Their sports type of sparring though, is exchanging blows in the body, which is not what someone can call exactly as an ideal self-defense attitude. In addition it can also be quite dangerous for the body.

If totally theoretically speaking, all things were equal (instruction, schools, what is for me .e.t.c) and I had only those two choices and I was going to choose something just for self-defense, I would go with Boxing, since if I was doing Kyokushin, I would keep my distance and go for the low kicks, which is not exactly a self-defense attitude but is good for that type of sparring.

Kyokushin would be your better choice because it has more options in it's structure. Boxing is designed for simple fights using only your hands. Since real fights are never simple it doesn't make any sense to train solely in a system that limits your options to hands only. Kyokushin is going to give you much more knowledge in regards to what you can do to protect yourself.

More Boxing because street fighting is resolved better with Boxing because Karate makes a fight just boring we want people to be money and have an exciting fight right we dont want a short fight where the Korean Belt wins instantly because of that is it the darling girl.

there not best style of MA, they both is good depend on user. if you hard work and discipline you will be better no matter what is your style.

i've been in many real fights in my life and i was wondering which sport would be better for self defence, boxing or Kyokushin? i can't choose another sport Cause i only have these two Clubs in my area (i can find many in other areas but due to the distance and Traffic jam i can't) Which one should i go for? Your opinions please! help appreciated :)
