Boxer vs Kyokushin Karateka (see description)?

Personally I believe this depends on experience. Fighting in sport is a context. In contextual fights, not conceptual ones on the internet....experience in the context without any technical fighting capabilities matters. It's usually the fitter, or more experienced practitioner that tends to win the day.

If the Kyokushin karateka had little sparring matches or competition history and the boxer do, then the boxer has an advantage, karate fighter has advantage if the other way.

The thing is the rule would likely to restrict elbows, knees. Kicks are good at their range but once your get past that, he can't really kick you without getting knocked down.

The game strategy matters here.

The one that knows what he is doing, and has some luck, will win

Now, if a boxer lands 1 clear combo, with 4-6oz gloves or something, you are a goner

As long as the Karateka is fluid and adaptive, and takes advantage of being able to use kicks as well as hand strikes, he should have the advantage. But anything can happen in a fight. If either opponent has poor defenses the other can capitalize and turn the outcome.

Full contact if both of you train.karate by leg kick/body kick/head kick.

Which one has a better chance of winning with a month of prep and training time?

The fight would be in a Boxing ring but with Muay Thai rules and would go for 5 rounds of 3 minutes.

Boxer:

Infighter

Good chin

Trained in Boxing for three years

Weighs 137 pounds

Has a height of 5'4

Kyokushin Karateka:

Outfighter

Graded a 4th Kyu green belt

Weighs 117 pounds

Has a height of 5'6

This is a fight I'm having with a friend soon, which one do YOU think will win? I'm just polling and looking for friendly opinions. I'm not trying to prove which style is better either. Thanks for your time!
