Are black belts considered dangerous?

Typical stereotype:They have a black belt so are obviously bad asss. Most are kind, reasonable people and never go out looking to make trouble.

There's a lot of cultural thinking that if you have a black belt everyone is like "Whoa!" But whether or not you're actually "dangerous" depends.

Any person with a hot head is dangerous, no matter their rank. A black belt with a level head is not dangerous. Simple as that.

Not really an instructor gets to mess up your head and pick a messed up wife because the wife is picked for you and the instructor gets a pay off its all money black belts are overated.

No, not dangerous. Certainly effective and not to be trifled with, but not dangerous. That's my opinion anyways. I feel that if someone is a black belt then they have learned discipline and control, so while they may well neutralize a threat, they'll do so in a controlled way which is just the opposite of dangerous.

No. I would consider them less dangerous than someone who has no clue or control over what they are doing and is looking out to get into fights.

Are you kidding?

How do you define dangerous?

If you mean I'll defend myself, those I care about and those who can't defend themselves. Then if you're one to be dumb enough to bother me or anyone of these while I'm around then yes.

Otherwise why don't you spend some time learning a martial art from folks who train in a real art. Get to know the folks and see how they act. You'll see most true black belts are humble, hard working and very nice folks. But we're also competitive at times and can fire it up if/when needed.

So the serious answer is absolutely NO unless you deserve it and leave us no other option than to use what we know. (see above)

Well if you start whiping someone with it then no not really you could choke someone with it though
