Are backlists risky without wraps/gloves?

Suppose that you threw a spinning backlist in a selfdefense street fight: are you at a high risk of hand/wrist damage because you have no wrap or gloves?

A backfist? Can be. I've popped several veins from throwing a hard backfist during practice, but overall no, not really.

This is why we do conditioning for our knuckles and hands.

Only if you did it wrong or improper

Btw to do a backfist you don't need to turn you back, unless you do a spinning backfist

Dam auto spell sucks it just did the same thing to me

the main risk would be turning your back the opponent, if you have proper technique and training wrist support shouldn't be needed
