Too late for what? To show off to all those who started at 5 years old? Probably. But learning a martial art is not about showing off.
It's never too late to learn something and I bet I know lots more people who started when they were older than you than you know people who started when they were 5 years old.
Definitely not, some people start martial arts in their 20's-30's!
Yes it is, You should have started BJJ before the age of 12, and muay thai before the age of 10, after that its too late.
Why did you wait so long.
Anyone who started that young was ripped off by a mcdojo. You are the perfect age to start bjj training I started at 13 and everyone in my class was in their twenties. The kids who started at age 5 were leeched by a mcdojo, most likely Taekwondo or some sort of made up "Kung Fu" thing.
You are never to old to start anything, including martial arts. I just started Isshin-Ryu karate about two months ago, and I am 16. Many of the adults are newer students as well, and some even started in their 30's.
Not at all!! I have seen people joining at the age of 56! You can start martial arts at any age. Make sure you practice it correctly and you practice hard. Concentrate on the basics. All the best.
Yeah, dude, you're too old. Unless you are taken from your mother at birth for the purpose of learning martial arts it's no use to learn it.
Of course not. It's never too late to start doing martial arts. I started training in martial arts after high school wrestling so I was 18 years old. I'm in college now and I train in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and MMA. There are people in their 30's-40's who are just starting in my class. I would like to say that you picked a good combination of styles.
Yes it's too late. But someone forgot to tell all of us who started as adults earned black belts and continue to train.
Oh an example of a few besides myself are Sensei George Mattson who is the highest ranked American in Uechi Ryu Jūdan (10th degree Hanshi-Sei) and James Thompson Kyūdan (9th degree Hanshi)
I am thinking about starting BJJ and Muay Thai but I feel like I am too late cos I'm 13 and I know people who have done martial arts since they were like 6
