Am I too old to learn wushu?

Well, your joints don't start losing flexibility until about the age of 18, so you have plenty of time to become athletic and take up Wushu or any other physical activity. Your instructor will start you off with the basics so you won't have to know how to do back flips, hand stands, or cartwheels. You begin with the fundamentals of Wushu and then the class gets progressively more challenging over time.

Yes unfortunately you are. Unless you are taken away from your mother screaming and kicking at birth for the sole purpose of doing martial arts there really is no point in doing it. Sorry....

16 is still very young. Even if you are not fit, you will get fit when doing it.

If you want to do something, the only answer is to try.

No

Hey, I'm 16 years old and not very fit at all.

I was wondering if I'm too old to learn wushu?

I'm also really worried about the acrobatics. I mean, I really want to learn them because I think they're just so amazing. However I'm really scared about doing them. I can do a cartwheel but I can't even do a forward roll because I hurt myself once before and never did it again.

Any advice from someone who does wushu or acrobatics?

Thank you :)
