question like this that compare what is better make me lazy to anwer, you know all martial art created for self defense, deadly or not depend on personal user, how hard discipine they are, how hard training they are. aikido or jiujitsu have different advantage, aikido is style with alot trowing technique that use enemies power, but jiujitsu is style with alot grapling or locking technique.
Both are good. I found Japanese jujitsu to be more practical and had more immediate applications than Aikido. Brazilian jujitsu is usually just ground fighting where Japanese tends to work with a wider range of situations. That was my experience where I trained. Schools obviously will be variable.
Wich one is more effective when some one tries hurt us really bad or even tries to kill ( neck lock,punches,knife etc...) If other martial arts are more effective please tell me tnx
